SAVE THE DATE:  VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - AUGUST 10-13, 2008

SUNDAY MORNING EARLY SERVICE:  For members who have to work, this service is from 8:15-9 a.m. and takes place in the fellowship center.

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASSES (9:30 AM)
Classes are for all ages.  Two adult classes are offered:  The Auditorium Class (taught the month of July by Charles Clark; topic is “The Fruit of the Spirit”).  The Families For Him Class (taught by Jay Thornell in the Family Life Center; topic is “Habakuk, Haggai, and Malachi”). 

WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE CLASSES
Classes for all ages.
The adult class meets in the Family Life Center; the topic is “The Life of Joseph.”  The class is directed  by Jay Thornell.

Notice:  Members, don't forget to sign the attendance pads each Sunday.  The pads are located on the end of each pew!

SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE TODAY

This evening at 6:00 pm we will meet again to sing, pray and hear a message from God’s word brought to us by Jay.  Come back out this evening to receive spiritual food to help you through the coming week.

PHASE TWO OF SUNDAY MORNING 
AUDITORIUM CLASS

Today, and each Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M. for the month of July, Charles Clark will led the Auditorium Adult Class in a series of lessons entitled “The Fruit of the Spirit”.  This series is designed to help each Christian be the best he/she can be and fulfill our goal to “Be Great in 2008”. 
 

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ADULT BIBLE STUDY

Join Jay for a study of “The Life of Joseph” at 7 p.m. each Wednesday evening.

LADIES’ CRAFT DAY JULY 20TH

Any lady in the congregation interested in making crafts, is  invited to come out from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on the third Sunday, July 20, and bring your own craft to work on.  If you can’t stay the whole time, come for as long as you can.

Please donate the following items this week to be given to the Southeastern Children’s Home:  Laundry and  Dishwasher Detergent,  Fabric Softener.

ATTENDED NURSERY & CHILDREN’S CHURCH
AVAILABLE DURING CHURCH SERVICES

A Nursery is open during the entire worship service for children ages birth to 3 years old.  The nursery is located just off the foyer area.  Children’s Church is for ages 3-7 and takes place during the last half of the worship service.  Children should exit through the rear of the auditorium and a teacher will walk them to class.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR COMMUNITY KITCHEN

Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 9 to 1 to help serve in the Community Kitchen this summer.  This is a very worthwhile cause and a way for Christians to be of service to the community.  If you have questions, please call Diane at 503-5533. 

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

The Forty Something Group will meet at the home of Don & Kaye Craig for “Christmas in July”  on July 19th beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Finger foods will be served and a sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the Members Information Center.  If you have any questions, call Kaye at 238-5350.

YOUNG MEMBERS TO SING
NATHIONAL ANTHEM

We have two more young members of our church family that will sing the National Anthem at a Pelican Baseball Game.  On Monday, July 21, Katelyn Funderburk will sing and on Tuesday, July 22, Jeffrey Carr will sing.  Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board in the Member’s Information Center for those who would like to attend the games.
